Atlanta, GA—August 3, 2017—Atlanta based Fathers Incorporated (FI), a national 501(c)3 not-for-profit announces its newest board members; Rachel Vassel and Gordon Mills. The two were installed at the July board meeting.

“They both bring a wealth of experience in our need to increase the level of multi-media presentation of our brand,” says Kenneth Braswell; Executive Director of Fathers Incorporated.

. “With the changing dynamics of how not-for-profits must do business in a highly technical industry, there was a need to bring on to our board individuals that are successful in creating and maintaining great brands,” says Ron Williams, Board President.

FI has been widely successfully in its media efforts, including overseeing the National Responsible Fatherhood Clearinghouse for the U.S. Department of Human Services, where they have garnered over $150 million in donated media for the fatherhood campaign (website). Fathers Incorporated has also ramped up its local efforts recently via its REAL DADS READ program. The agency is in the middle of its strategic planning for 2018 with the help of a recent grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta (Literacy For All). “Our two generational approaches to programming allows us to impact intentional outcomes including changing the societal narrative of fathers,” says Braswell.

This newest installation follows the recent addition of Dr. Jeff Gardere and Brett Chestnut to the Board of Directors. The addition of these two members is part of our continuing effort to remain at the cutting edge of the not-for-profit field,” says Braswell. “Atlanta has been great for us and we want to give back by being great for Atlanta. There is a lot of work to do and we are committed to serving in our programmatic capacity and doing our part to ensure that fathers are equipped, supported, and encouraged to be a part of the solution of building an Awesome Atlanta,” Braswell ends.
