Fathers Incorporated Partners with the Center for Black Women’s Wellness to Build Community and Support for New Fathers
This Groundbreaking Partnership Will Result in Serving over 100 Families in Atlanta with the Promise of Building Stronger Families by Improving Their Health and Interdependent Relationships
Fathers Incorporated (FI), the leading national non-profit for the promotion of responsible fatherhood has partnered with the Center for Black Women’s Wellness (CBWW) as they expand to include more services for the fathers of children served by their Atlanta Healthy Start Initiative, a program focused on improving maternal and infant health. This program is funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
In the fiscal year of 2019 – 2020, Fathers Incorporated (FI) will implement staff training and development for the Center for Black Women’s Wellness and will lead the charge to develop a safe space for new dads to build community including programs and resources to support social-emotional wellness.
Specifically, the partnership will provide training for CBWW staff, lead regenerative protocol through their signature program, “Next Level Fatherhood” that inspires and advances struggling adults through intimate healing workshops led by trained facilitators who are psychologists, social workers and experts in various expertise inclusive of early child care and workforce development. In addition, FI will conduct monthly events to focus on social-emotional support and development.

He brings 29 years of collective work experience managing and leading fatherhood and community programs. Additionally, he serves as the National Director of the National Responsible Fatherhood Clearing House (NRFC) directing and guiding the strategic activities of the NRFC.

However, supporting dads is just as important for men themselves, and men who reside in under-resourced communities are well-deserving of needed supports for their own physical, mental, and economic well-being.”
